Child Abduction Act

This Act implements the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction in Zimbabwe. It provides a legal framework to:

Secure the prompt return of children wrongfully removed or retained to or in Zimbabwe.
Protect rights of custody and access under the law of one Contracting State in other Contracting States.

Proof of Foreign Decisions: Outlines procedures for admitting foreign court decisions and determinations.
Costs of Applications: Addresses the issue of costs related to applications under the Convention.
